I'm back from Bali!

(picture heavy entry ahead!)
The last time we went on a holiday together was my birthday trip, where we went to Madrid, Rome, Florence and Venice. JS decided to whisk me to Bali for a wedding and a holiday! Thanks to JS, I had to only pay for my own expenses, and hotel & air ticket costs all borne by the man.
Here's a picture taken at Colossuem of us! I'm not too sure when I'll ever get set to do an entry on Europe because I'm starting work real soon, but I'll at least be able to finish up Bali!
Day 1 - A&P's Wedding
We arrived at the hotel at 3pm and had to arrive at the wedding at 4:30pm, so we had to hurry!
Our room in a hotel well-situated in Seminyak. It's one of our favorite regions of Bali to stay in, as we previously did. Unlike in 2011 where we stayed in a Villa, we decided to stay in a hotel since we spend most of this trip outdoors.
It's pretty roomy and as a new hotel, it has a completely cool business center round the corner that we could use, and a rooftop pool access.
We usually watch TV in bed, so this couch was hardly used.
We arrived at The Sanctuary, Seminyak late since it was really far-off. Our driver had a hard time navigating since it's out "in the woods" (not exaggerating) but once we arrived, we were welcomed by a whole lot of greenary!
For Audrey and Paul's Big Day!
Audrey met JS when he was working for a particular US bank (he has since moved on) and forged a good friendship between the boys, so on her big day in Bali, the boys all gamed on to attend an overseas event.
Audrey's favorite color is green ( then I later knew), and coincidentally, I was in the same!
The boys - (L-R) - Teddy, Brendan, Jason. All single - up for grabs!
Shortly after, Paul walked through the aisle, onto limelight!
Followed by the sisters from Singapore, and brothers from Holland.
Paul's Dutch by the way ;)
And the lovely bride Aud with her proud father.
The creative programme card (inserted beneath) and its cover has the names of all the important people. It's nice that Audrey and Paul had given credits to their entourage, and you will better see their efforts during the dinner.
The promise ;)
The Maid of Honor and the Groom's Best Man gave a speech each before the solemnization take place.
Beautifully Hitched!
We enjoyed a round of canepes with cocktails before the dinner officially commenced.
The dinner venue setting up!
Some pictures of us during the cocktail session.
JS and I couldn't join the drinks and welcome session that A&P held at WooBar (at W retreat Seminyak) as JS couldn't go on leave with the boys all at once.
Firly (extreme right) and Alice (Nick's partner 3rd from left).
A big group of ex-colleagues who flew in for Audrey.
As the sun sets, we were welcomed to the dinner venue which was well-lit with lanterns and candles.
We had names well written by the sisters (I presume) on the leaves. How nature-like!
It was placed above our personal menu to indicate where our seats were :)
Our menus are crafted to our individual preference, so basically, we chose our own menu 3 weeks before the actual day.
It was a 3 course menu, with 2 choices for appetizers and mains, followed by the wedding cake.
It was so well-planned that it puts a event person like me to shame. I don't even know if I can plan such a well-organised and fun-packed wedding like this!
Left was my menu, and right was JS'
More pictures on dinner!
Non-stop alcohol and wines!
The entourage started with a dance to kick-off the dinner!
Remember how I told you A&P gave their credits for their bridesmen and bestmen's efforts?
Check this out - they even share the same dining VIP table with the wedding entourage.
It was a straight table seated for 12, including Audrey and Paul.
Our table 6 - seated in the center.
The boys - and finally you get a picture of Nick (top right).
Cold Starter -
Black Peppered Tuna with red capsicum salad with lemon olive dressing
Shortly followed by the Hot Starter-
A choice between the oriental duck confit or the seared scallops.
The hot and cold starters were really good, and we took a break while Nick gives his hawt speech.
This Vietnamese-Kiwi guy never prepares his speech beforehand lol.
The Beef Tenderloin was JS' while I picked the Snapper.
The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and the snapper's lemongrass butter made the fish complete.
Before the Bride and Groom can have their food, Paul's 2 sisters came up with a Pop-Quiz that challenged the bridesmaids and bestmen to how much they know the couple.
One of the quiz tested their dance skills;
and we know who won the challenge :p
Audrey's such a dance queen!
Cake cutting while we watched a beautiful cake in awe :D
The cakes are prepared in individual portions and are tied with a black ribbon each. So prettay!!!
A choice of redvelvet or lavender vanilla.
Camho with the cake!
Nick and Teddy gave the show a run - with their duet - Aerosmith's I don't wanna miss a thing.
Which ended up with a lot of laughter and joy.
Audrey's Bridal Bouquet Toss!
So it's official that one of her sisters' gonna be the next one!
We were then ushered to a dance area near the pool where everyone's given a chance to show off their dance skills and EVERYONE hit the floor with a pool-side bar offering unlimited offer of booze and beer and deejay spinning the best RNB pops.
and that's all for the night.
We had quite a time getting a taxi to get back home for the morning's activities, but all in all, we had a great night thanks to Audrey and Paul! A fabulous Balinese wedding, held with awesome french cuisine and a ball of night for the party goers!
