Updates on Dubz

I'm really excited about month of Jan because I'm going for worktrips to Barcelona (omg finally, Spain!!) and Hongkong. I want post-winter salessssss!!!! Please give me Bershka and Zara in Spainnnnn!!!! I can't quite contain my excitment so pardon me on that. Best thing is I'm going with a friend, whom I went to in Rome, Zhuanzhen! :D

I'm also quite excited about March because JS and I have plans to travel for my 26th birthday and I'm quite fixed on Vienna... Then again I'm thinking about Florence.. Mmm... I'm also thinking of cutting bangs in March because I'm so sick of long fringe. I kinda think that bangs make me look younger somehow.

Anyway, let's hit pictures from Dubai!

It was UAE National Day in December (last year in 2012) so we decided to dress up in the UAE national flag colors and have dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Dubai - Kisaku.

You could see us in UAE colors, correctly assembled in order :)

Did you know - UAE has 7 states under its constitution?
The 7 constituent emirates are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain. The capital is Abu Dhabi, which is also the state's center of political, industrial, and cultural activities. ~ Source from Wiki

Yeap we have Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi which is quite the big hit!

Sweet Sarah with the Emirates flag.

Food galore as usual.

Man I love my tempura set x 100. They do it so well I think they beat Sushi Tei to it.

My usual hangout gang comprises of Veriza and Shirleen who are not unfamiliar faces to this space heh!

Then we went shopping and here's the usual New Look adventure- wearing Russian-like winter hats LOL. I need that hat on sales to entice myself to actually own it.

Went out the next day with my girls to a new restaurant at China Sea. Becks' craving for Chinese food so she begged us to go to this place and honestly I was quite dubious about it initially...
I don't quite trust Dubai's asian food unless it's on my recommended list but this one fared rather well surprisingly!

Stone printed dress from Primark. Love the cut!

This restaurant looks very ching-chong chinaman, I know!
IMG_3620
Food tagged at really reasonable prices, we girls promised to come back again!
IMG_3621IMG_3622IMG_3623IMG_3624
Mmmmm roasted duck me likes!

Bershka had QT jumpers,
me no buy 'cos I dislike jumpers that are made of acrylic, kinda "scratchy" feel.
IMG_3625
Becks decided that she liked it though, it's the design that caught her eye.

The day before Christmas so we took a Christmasy picture on that day before I flew to Singapore for work. Mehhh, I need to sort out those Christmas pictures soon to blog ~.~

Little christmas exchange among my housemates.

On 23rd, which is the eve of Christmas eve, I asked V out for lunch so she got her boyfriend, Eugene along as well! The more the merrier!
We dined at this really good Thai fusion place called Yum! at Raddison Blu Deira hotel.
IMG_3732IMG_3733
My dates were late so I had to spend 20 minutes just waiting...... seemed like they lost their way and went to the other Raddison Blu at Sheikh Zayed. Mohohoho!
IMG_3734IMG_3738

We ordered a few dishes to share and the best has to be this fried prawn and fish cake.
Damn yummy!!!! :D
IMG_3724IMG_3728
Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside.

Lychee tea bottomless. Drink until you're happy!
IMG_3727

Ordered 2 version of fried rice noodles and green curry chicken with rice to share. Yum as the name of the restaurant goes!

Dubai's getting colder by the day (now's 21 degrees) so we always had to have an outerwear.
I bought my peachy pink slouchy blazer from my Shanghai trip, and that shop (which is also a distributor store) happened to have clearance sales. Each one was selling like for SGD4? I should have bought more to sell because cutting was so awesomeeeee!
I miss Shanghai + cheap shopping!!!!

Rita came back from Austria to Dubai just for one week's holidays (she used to be my colleague but she had to move back for studies). Hopefully she'll be back soon since she really liked the job!
IMG_3881
The girl chose her time right because Dubai Festival Sales is around the corner. Think it starts this Saturday! All malls are have drop dead sales they say. Can't contain my eggcitement by then!!!!
IMG_3882
She got these funny signs from Daiso here in Dubai LOL. This girl is crazy over everything Asian.

The girls who went lunch with me to this Thai restaurant called Lemongrass in Oud Metha. Nice place to have thai food really:)
IMG_3884

Went back to Shirleen's place to play Big2 and she made us this really toxic shots (with Margarita and Grey Goose, evil thingssss) and we all turned red when we had to down the shots when we lost. My luck was rather good until Tom came >:(

It was Tommy's 23rd birthday so we threw him a mini party in Shir's place.
IMG_3885 IMG_3888IMG_3889 IMG_3890
Mehehehe! Hope you had a good birthday, boy!
IMG_3892

That makes the end of my entry grrrr I'm so sleepy now! Ciaoz!
