the girl goes to seoul

Went to watch Twilight - Breaking Dawn with Emilia because we had some time on our hands.
It plays a nice end to the trilogy book I've read and the 4 part movie that I had watched through these years.

Finally saw Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) and she's a beauty and as compared to the last 3 parts. At 9, she's a Gap model :O
And and, 'Bella' does look her best in this one, though I think it's such a shame Stewart and Pattinson's relationship did not pull through... well we know why.

We brought our favorite pops and Cinnabon!!! :D

Here's me and my shopping buddy, I'm not sure why the former picture looks darker than the other.

Check out our pants in hawt red and burgundy. According to Ems, burgundy is the IN color this fall. Well, red is always the new black for me :p

The burgundy girl had her ice pop in berries while I had mine in kiwi. Awesome stuff for 7dhs (around SGD2.20) frm our favorite candy store.

Was great catching up before we both went home. Dubai is getting chilly as the day goes by.
It's now 24 degrees *smirks*

Seoul - Korea
My last work trip a day ago was Seoul. I always leave my "soul" there because it's such a nice place to be in albeit the 4 degrees weather.

Had a warm dinner before bed at my favorite BBQ restaurant.

Had the beef and mushroom stew with rice and look at the many cold dishes for one ;)

Prepared and went out the next day with my colleague, Ysabel! A pity I didn't have any pictures with her. :(

Weathers like this, less layers, one thermal saves the day.

Went to the streets of Gangnam as Ysabel brought me to new areas I've not been. I always go to the Gangnam underground area for shopping but I never knew the streets are so much better!
IMG_3367 IMG_3368
We found a media and bookstore in the area while I try to find 2 books for Mel but they didnt have those in stock.
I like how cozy the bookstore looked, it's like a library!

Korea street food.
IMG_3371IMG_3370IMG_3369
ddukbokki rocks!!! This one's not too spicy though and it comes with "soup" service. The ahjumma who served us is so cute ~ 귀여워

IMG_3372 IMG_3373
Stopped by Caffe Bene to do some waffles and cappucino. I don't do Starbucks when I'm in Korea - it's the place with the most cafes per sq meters!
IMG_3375 IMG_3374 IMG_3376
Met some "stars" in caffe bene, heh!

I made Ysabel promise that we would get some cute stationeries off artbox and we did ;)
Found my diary for 2013 in there, cheap and good!
IMG_3380 IMG_3377
found these leopard printed earmuffs that I regretted not getting :(

Back to my hotel to get some rest...
IMG_3383 IMG_3384
and here's what I got from Gangnam underground! 3 tops for nasty weather all year round (London) LOL.

I need more Korea work trips!!!!

homecoming nov I

I went missing on blogger again because of my 2 weeks holidays back home!
It's funny how people take holidays overseas and I take vacation breaks home, nevertheless, it's nice to be home with friends and family ;)

MMS
On the 2nd day when I'm back, I was supposedly heading to town to meet my friends when I realised that I left my wallet at home so I had to give my favorite steamboat, Coca a miss.
With little time in my hands, I quickly changed our location to Tampines where they had Crystal Jade steamboat there, as mentioned to me by Mon.

JS' favorite shabu shabu pork strips
IMG_3092
Steamboat buffet is the best food for gathering as you can spend a couple of hours just chatting while holding conversations and catching up.
I'm pleasantly surprised that it only cost us $23 each, half the price of what we would have spent at Coca steamboat. Good variety of drinks and steamboat ingredients.

While JS and Marcus left to rest, three of us went chillin' at Starbucks!
IMG_3094
Loved those christmas themed cups while we had our favorite drinks.

Mon had asked me to write about her here so... ;)

In life, you need a pretty and looney friend, so this is the one character in my life I can never live without.
You can always find her around the bend when you're in trouble or when you're heartbroken. She'll always be there.
'Nuff said, 12 years of friendship can never beat the words I can try to find.
<3

Each of them had themselves a new phone, while I struggle to use my iphone 4 ;(

Bibigo!
with Jace, Hanz and Yann because everywhere else in Raffles City is crowded on a weekday. Booo :((
IMG_3114
Bought them Ritter minis and see how small they are!

With the pretty babes;

Its been a good 9 months that we haven't caught up!
IMG_3124

And the galore of food awaits...
IMG_3120\
Hanz had the healthier choice of vegetables and stir fried beef. The assortment of veg reminds me of bibimbap without the sauce! Such a pretty dish ;)
IMG_3121 IMG_3122
IMG_3123
I had the stewed mushroom broth with black rice (assumingly healthier than white rice). The broth had the korean clear noodles had a good chewy sensation and as a shromes lover, I clearly liked the dish.

My N-th time at Starbucks because it's the only place that closes late so we continued our catchup and a group photo!
IMG_3126
It's nice to see you girls pursuing your dream jobs - you are the only one who knows what suits you best ;)
Special thanks to Hannah who got me a bag of gifts - thank you girlie!! :) You shouldn't have gone the expense and I really appreciate all the texts you have gone to send me so far:) <3

Did my french gel extensions for the wedding (which I have to write about next)! Not very used to the length since I always have short nails so this needs some getting used to!
IMG_3160

with my boyfriend whom we were getting a blazer for, chose a slim-cut black blazer for the dinner.

My WIW:

We had a lot of plans for the 2 weeks I'm home but we spent most of it slacking, catching a movie, going out to run errands, shopping etc.

Best boyfriend.
Took 2 weeks leave just to make sure that I'm well taken care of <3

Shopped too long so we had late dinner at Thai Express Paragon.

I had the thai green curry laksa with seafood :)
