I always wanted to blog about my home life in Dubai (honestly.... I don't go out everyday, I'm more of the stay home girl when I'm in town) but I haven't had the chance.
Now that I've my hands on my DSLR (hoho!), here are some photos I take of my space. Not much changes has been done though :p
Living Room
Sorted out the DVDs to watch.
I usually watch it on my laptop because it has stored memory of where I last watched, but the DVD+TV is nice when I wanna watch on a bigger screen;
My previous housemates had the brown throw overs on because the orange sofa's a little tacky :p
Moreover, it's easier to wash them than the sofa covers.
Kitchen
My 3 favorite electronics:
1) Boiler (cooks water in a min)
2) Rice cooker (i eat lots of rice, loads and this rice cooker steams stuff for me too)
3) Microwave (heats up my favorite food)
Don't judge me but I'm a kitchen junkie.
I've lots of instant stuff for times when I feel too tired to cook. I never liked deliveries in Dubai.
Lots of seasoning from rice wine, soya sauce, cooking sauces, pepper, etc.
Thanks to living abroad that I learnt cooking and how these seasoning items made hell lots of difference to your food.
3 top favorite seasoning
1) oyster sauce (magic)
2) black pepper
3) mushroom MSG (my mom said it's more healthy).
All seasoning shipped from SG / bought from HKG. Never bought anything in Dubai really.
I even got drinks, thanks to bestie Jess.
Next time I'm going to ship banana milk from Korea!
My washing room - dryer x washing machine.
I use laundry bags since I don't hand wash.
Tip : Daiso has the cheapest laundry bags (they are in Dubai too)
I can't wait to visit Tokyo's!
the front of my room looks like that.
Letter holder is for bills and notes/gifts that my housemates leaves for me when I'm away,
and the initial S made in holland bought from a store in HKG - loving it!
Made dinner the other day when I was in the mood-
baked potato, butter rice and baked salmon. Double yums!
#likeapro veg with mushrooms in oyster sauce
(with fried onions and garlic)
The 3 things your fridge has to have is garlic, gingers and onions. They work wonders!
Moving on to my everyday makeup items;
I'm trying to reduce the number of items I'm using because of the terrible breakouts due to the dry weather and hard water in Dubai.
1. Lancome Blanc Miracle in O-02
2. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in Nude
3. Bobbi Brown blush in Pale Pink (09)
4. MAC stippling brush 187 (my xmas gift from me brother)
5. Carmex (works wonders for me / from Joey)
6. Holikaholika jeweled eyeliner in Black (with glitter!)
Today's WIW for dinner;
pale grey cardigan: pull&bear
cream tank: primark
wine knotted skirt: love bonito
room flops: la vie en rose/dubai
I'm still pretty hooked to SG's blogshops for some really pretty items like this one!
For dinner we had pretty good chinese food:
L-R:
sparkling ribena with lychees (awesome stuff)
diced chicken cubes with szechuan chili
fried rice with salted fish & scallops
peking duck wrap

supper:
MacD's Big Tasty meal
(with lots of cheese and a beef patty - wish we had this in SG)
this burger is huge man, bigger than me palm!
I'm going to BKK tomorrow so I'm looking forward. Hope I don't bring bags of clothes like the other time >.< I had enough new clothes!
