I've been procrastinating to blog and so I am here, with a pile of entries backdated. Travelogues are so hard to keep up really!
I'm really excited about Aug because I'm going to be in Seoul with my buddy for work and I'm thinking of hitting Myeongdong this time. Staying in the business district feels it really hard to travel around at times -.-"
Anyway, let me start with my last HK trip in end May.
It was the typhoon season when I arrived that night, was just 1 before it went to 5 and 8 the next 2 days.
Looked for 翠华茶餐厅 quickly for dinner.
My mouth was full of eggettes when I had this photo taken of me.
Iced Horlicks and Iced milk tea for my special someone ;)
Stir fried beef with egg with tomatoes
My stir fried fish with vegetables rice
Really good food served in Tsui Wah, and the best thing is it's opened 24 hours! ;)
Ate and went over to Lucky Dessert (still opened at 12:30 midnight) for my dose of durian goodness!
Yums!!!! <3
JS and I decided to go to Sheungwan again, this time for a traditional store that Jess has been talking about since half a year ago.
We arrived at 11am, just half an hr before the opening hours (glad we did!) and saw a really long queue forming. We were the 6th in Q.
Kau Kee Beef Noodles - really damn famous if you haven't already heard about it.
The curry broth beef brisket and beef intestines with eemian
Curry broth - to die for!!!! Must try!
Went to Lemon King again to get our preserved lemon before we went shopping at TST and coffee at Holly Brown (K11 Mall). One of my favorite coffee spots because I get to use Wifi too :p
Met up with Jess & Jake in the evening and they drove us to get our Raybans fix.
Dinner at mall full of Japanese restaurants in Causeway Bay 'cos I really wanted to have a good Jap meal in HKG.
The coupley duos :>
It's lovely to meet bestie and her hubby everytime and I am so grateful for them to bringing me/us around each time I/we're in HKG.
The sashimi platter with sea urchin!
( if you look closely, we have an additional order of salmon sashimi at the back)
so fresh, so good!
fresh tuna wrapped with seaweed (a store recommendation)
This is really good with seaweed, Jake and I can't stop having it.
Fish intestines with cheese strips
Not for the faint hearted :p
Stuffed Chix wings
Temakis (handrolls)
Chicken skin skewer and bacon sausage.
Kimchi fried rice (we also had the unagi fried rice which I much preferred)
California roll with tempura prawns
Fried dory (how I miss having fish!!!)
Settled down at my favorite milk pudding place (Yee Shun Milk Company) with Peiyu while Jess and Jake went back home to rest and play with kiddo Clara :)
(double egg pudding, chocolate pudding and milk pudding)
Wished we had this in SG!
We woke up early for Yum Cha the next day when Jake drove us to Stanley Market.
Restaurant at Stanley Plaza. I really like the ambience of the restaurant as it faces out the sea.
Baby Clara was there,
and so were we :)
Drunken chicken
Fish cakes
Baked cheese rice cakes
Ma La Gou (steamed cake) and xiao long baos
Bacon wrapped veg (i was craving for bacon the whole time there)
fried pork cubes
dimsum served in singles : har gow (shrimp dumplings)
siew mais (pork dumplings)
and the best ever stir fried char siew noodles - i love it (cos it's mee pok i think!)
lastly, some roast goose
Meal was really good, so was the service, but I couldn't recall the name of the restaurant though..
Jess, any help here?
Heading towards the stanley market
From the other direction (sea facing), we could also see repulse bay!
Shopping at stanley market where I got my shopping bag, a shoe bag (would love to buy more of them). Little things that can go a long way :)
Lots of souvenirs can also be found here.
Dropped by a pub for some drinks, Jess recommended the Ice Cold beer, which retains its chill for a good 20 minutes!
Clara's new playmate- JS, lol!
A sunday best spent with beer and good company :)
Ending with some of my favorite photos of JS and angelic Clara ;)
I'll be back soon HKG! :p
Next time, i'll look for traditional push-cart dimsum place!!!!

Getting JS a cream soda from the Da Pai Dang opposite which I always frequent at Mei Lun street to kill the heat.
The menu's pretty simple - you choose the parts of the beef that you want, the types of noodles and the base - mainly the clear broth or the curry broth. Go for the curry one - its really good!
We chose one of each to try - the clear broth with beef brisket with eemian
The curry broth beef brisket and beef intestines with eemian
