my way long update!

I find myself guilt-tripped because I haven't been blogging for a long time.

My daily life has been training - coming home - sleep - study & cook - training and the cycle goes on.

On a happy note, I'm ending my fabulous training next Tuesday, with 2 days off in-between (we're thinking of a desert tour) before i globe trot! Trying to get my hands on a new semi-pro since I sold mine for the bb 9900 just 2 months ago :) Time flies really fast, I'm reaching my 2 months in Dubai soon by the 6th :)

I love the training because I've amazed myself with how adaptable I am with diversity. I'm the only Asian in the training group, and in my group itself, we have had 12 different nationalities speaking 15 different languages. The common ground is certainly English, but I've picked up some handy Italian, Brazilian and German words that I might find useful.

On the other hand, I still find food a problem here. Western and Indian food are easy to find, but finding a taste of home is a little tricky.

My current addiction of chocodate which I am finding a chance to ship back to home as gifts since I have 50% discount off DHL which is great!

Went to the old creek area of Deira to visit, hoping to get souvenirs of DXB at a steal.

the touristy spot and everything was good price if you know how you bargain.

Was at the spice souk and haven't had the chance to go to the gold souk.

A souk is a open-air market or a commercial quarter and entails free-market concept (source: wiki)

amazing place if you wanna shop cheap, wholesale and see the older side of DXB.

and snacks at the vending machine for S$0.30.

the abra , or the traditional wooden boat is at S$0.30 per way from the busy Deira to Bur Dubai, souk to souk :)

the beautiful coast , and the ride will be nice... hoping to go soon to take some good pictures.

one side of this ride faces the very old dubai, while the other side sees the financial hub and the modern city area, a contrasting moment just by paying S$0.30 on the Abra.

ended up having dinner at a sub cafe with live band, how nice that is :)

Though being abroad, I know it sounds weird, but I hate to be forgotten.

I'm way too lucky now that I have both my local friends n family reminding me of their love, and my friends here in DXB whom gave me a great birthday here to remember. Will blog when I get pictures from them soon!

Me in DXB week 3

Hello! It's me again @ 1am DXB time. I've decided to write again since I have loads of pictures taken in SG and HK that i haven't uploaded. Once a week is the best I can update :(

Have been carrying this bag to death in SG and here in DXB, since my dress code here includes a black bag.

Like how roomy it is with its multiple compartments and pockets.

This looks quite like a Coach hobo bag I once had before, and made of the usual good matte PU leather Yventually uses, I'm pretty pleased with its workmanship :)

It's a medium sized tote which you can place A4 materials in if you place the flaps upright.

If you don't really have that many items you want to bring in this bag, just close the magnetic flap and turn it down like I did below;

A versatile bag :)

Love the "motorcycle" kinda look this hobo has;

stitched with magnetic buttons, you can get items off the pockets with ease.

Alexis comes in 4 different colors so my best bet besides black, will be the purple or persian orange color :)

Some updates on my life in Dubai;

went for a tour around Dubai just before our training started.

We had a great time before health screening. Health screening = helluva waiting.

Met Su who came last weekend so we gathered and brought her to Dubai Mall.

Had a Singapore friend come visit me so I brought her to the French established bakery, Paul.

I must say Paul's croissants are really good.
